The lodge offers a peaceful getaway, particularly during the quieter weekdays in September. My room was comfortable and cool, but I was disappointed by the view of the entrance lobby. While the beds were good, the overall ambiance was somewhat lacking. However, I've had negative experiences as well, with run-down accommodations and indifferent service on previous visits. Overall, there's potential for relaxation, but some areas definitely need improvement.

We had a good family day at Polar Coaster despite the unexpected weather. The staff was friendly and helpful, but parking could be a challenge if you arrive later in the day. The experience was fun overall, but be prepared for potentially crowded conditions if visiting during peak times.

7.0/10
Our stay at the lodge was disappointing, mainly due to its outdated facilities and inadequate service. While the location is ideal for exploring the park and enjoying nature, the condition of the lodge and cabins fell short of expectations. I found the rooms and dining area to be in much need of maintenance, which made the almost $200 price tag feel unjustified. However, we did appreciate the beautiful surroundings and our attempts to create a good experience despite these issues.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms in the lodge were plain and felt very outdated. There were issues like moth holes in the curtains, uncomfortable pillows, and poor TV reception. Additionally, our cabin was not well maintained, with filthy carpets and damaged furniture.
Service
5.0
Service was a mixed bag; while the front desk staff were efficient, they lacked warmth and friendliness, and cleaning staff seemed non-existent at times. There were observable staffing issues, which contributed to the general lack of care.
Location

The location is fantastic, with easy access to beautiful trails, lakes, and an overall immersive nature experience. It's in a great spot for anyone wanting to explore Manning Provincial Park.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were quite limited, and the available meals didn't feel worth the price. The restaurant didn't open until 9 am, which was quite late and not ideal for early risers.
Facilities

Facilities were generally in poor condition, with both the dining room and lodge needing significant maintenance and updating. The whole place felt tired and old.

I had a frustrating experience at Manning Park Resort that started with a reservation mishap and just kept getting worse. Although the cabin had plenty of space and some basic amenities, it was extremely run down and not at all what I expected for the price. The service was lacking, and I felt very disconnected from the staff throughout my stay. Overall, unless significant improvements are made, I can't recommend this place.
Rooms

The cabin I stayed in was quite spacious but in dire need of repairs; the carpet was filthy, and there were issues like peeling paint in the bathroom.
Service

The service left much to be desired; I felt like I was being ignored during the reservation issues and was not treated well when I reached out for help.

I recently had a great stay at the Manning Park Resort, which is nestled in a beautiful location ideal for hiking and enjoying nature. While the cabins provide a cozy setup, they do show signs of age, and some amenities could use an upgrade. Staff interactions were a mixed bag, with a few friendly faces but some less welcoming ones. Overall, it was a lovely experience despite these shortcomings, and I appreciated the overall value for what we paid.
Rooms
7.0
The cabin was spacious and had basic amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment, but it definitely felt dated and could use some renovations.
Service
6.0
The service was inconsistent; while some staff members were friendly and helpful, others at the front desk seemed less welcoming.
Location
9.0
Surrounded by the stunning forests and mountains, the location provided excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, though it's a bit isolated from any nearby conveniences.
Dining
7.0
We enjoyed meals at the on-site restaurant, which served excellent food, but I found the breakfast options limited and the dining area a bit understaffed.
Facilities
8.0
The resort features nice outdoor spaces and a cozy lodge atmosphere, though some facilities showed signs of wear and could use improvements.
